Issues with macOS auto-update

Resolved
On Tuesday, August 17th, an issue was identified with the macOS agent auto-update process. For a subset of affected systems running the macOS agent 8.2.2 and 8.2.3, the auto-update process resulted in the existing agent getting removed and the 8.2.4 agent not successfully installing.

To remediate the auto-update failure, please reinstall the latest macOS agent on affected systems.

Your organization’s macOS agent installer can be found by clicking on the “Download Agent” link on the dashboard in the ActivTrak app.

We understand the severity of this incident and are putting new controls in place to ensure that the underlying issues that resulted in the failed update are resolved in the next agent release.
